Fire pits make a great addition to any backyard, big or small. Fire pits provide a warm and cozy environment for people to gather. Because fire pits are such as focal and gathering point, you want to make sure you get the right one for your outdoor space. We’ve put together some helpful guidelines and details to consider when buying a fire pit.
To Table or Not To Table
Fire pits come in two major designs, round styles with a fire pit bowl, and table styles that are generally larger and heavier. If you are putting your fire pit in a smaller space, or you want your fire pit to be moveable you’ll likely want to go with a smaller bowl style. If you have a larger space for your fire pit, we suggest you go with a square or tabled version.
What To Burn
Fire pits come in two styles for fuel as well, wood-burning or natural gas/propane. The benefits of wood-burning are that they smell better (real campfire smell), sound better (genuine wood cracking and popping), and can be cheaper if you have lots of wood in need of burning. The benefits of propane are that they don’t leave you smelling like a campfire and they are automatic to light and ‘put out’.
Accessorize
Fire pits have many accessories available, from covers and fire guards to protect your fire pit from the elements and to protect your deck or patio from your fire pit, to grills and ice buckets to help you as your entertain your guests. Pick the fire pit accessories that make you love your fire pit all year long.
